John Putnam was the speaker for our September meeting. His topic was: Catalogs & Folders & Collections, Oh My!

Putnam presentationed on how to keep all of your images organized and accessible using some very simple techniques as well as one of the most powerful photo organizers and editors out there, Adobe Lightroom.
John (J.K.) Putnam is an editorial, outdoor, and documentary photographer who also teaches photography workshops and classes on Mount Desert Island, Maine. Since 2005, his work has shown up in dozens of photography and design books as well as major online editorials such as Wired and The Guardian and in the pages of Down East Magazine. For the past three years he has been shortlisted in multiple categories by the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, held annually by the Natural History Museum in London. He also has a new puppy named Bernard, the cat is not happy.
The Steering Committee met at 5:30 pm. It discussed and voted to approve the following:
- Fiscal year July 1 to June 30
- Web site expenses
- Allow club business to be conducted via email
- Rules for payment of club expenses
- Restore tax-exempt status
- Budget for 2016/2017
- Disallow end of year signups for next year
- Outing guests must sign Liability Release
