Who can participate:

All high school students that attend MDI High School or live on MDI

What kind of photos and prizes:

  • Submissions must be original photos created and edited solely by the student
  • Any subject is fine, so long as it is tasteful (determined by the judging committee)
  • Any camera is fine, including mobile devices
  • Any post-processing edits and manipulation are acceptable
  • Winning photos are professionally printed for students to keep (a $50 value)
  • Three prizes: 1st ($75), 2nd ($50), and 3rd ($25) place

How to enter:

  • Free: there is no entry fee
  • Email ONE digital image to: contest@mdiphotoclub.org
    •  jpeg format, 1500 pixels on the long side
  • Include:
    • Image Title
    • Contact Information: name, address, phone, email, school, grade

When should I do something:

  • April 14: Submission deadline
  • May 5: Winners provide high-res images (jpg files)
  • June 2: Awards presented at the MDI Photo Club Exhibit (5-7 pm)

Where are the photos displayed:

  • All submitted photos will be on the MDI Photo Club website
  • The winning photos will be printed & displayed at the MDI Photo Club Exhibit
    • At the Northeast Harbor Library, 1 Joy St, Northeast Harbor, ME
    • June 1st through June 29th, Opening reception June 2nd @ 5-7 pm
