Presentation

Astrophotography is no longer limited to NASA and other organizations with big telescopes. Recent improvements in technology have enabled more amateurs to take amazing photographs of the night sky, from near objects such as the moon and the planets, to galaxies and other objects in outer space. Amateur astrophotographer James Cahill gave a presentation on the equipment and techniques needed for night sky photography and showcased some of his stunning deep space photographs. You can explore James’ astrophotography on Instagram (@jec_astrophotography).

Critique

Assignment

Our assignment for November was to get close and personal with your subject. This is an exercise in viewing common objects in a new way and examining their finer details.
