Our next meeting will be Tuesday November 11th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Presentation

Our presenter this month will be David Lubarsky, “Developing a Creative Eye – a Freelance Photographer’s Tale”

David Lubarsky is an independent assignment photographer and will explore how his ‘creative eye’ has evolved over time, showing us examples from his extensive portfolios. He will tackle a central question –  ‘how do I capture my subject’s essence and create a compelling image that others will enjoy?’ David will also contribute to a current Photo Club discussion about ‘what is Portrait Photography,’ sharing his thoughts on the key components of this genre.

Part of David’s Program will include a review of the critical aspects of portraiture such as environment and lighting, as well as equipment choices, lens selections and other fundamental aspects of completing a riveting image. As he reaches this moment in his professional life (hoping for more time to devote to his personal work), David will lead us in a discussion of what are the realistic options to continue working deep into old age? What are the trade-offs to keep going if some of us never want to stop working? There will be lots of times for questions and discussion.
